Algebraic Methods in Dynamical Systems 16–22 May 2010
Dedicated to Michael Singer on his 60th Birthday.
The Institute of Mathematics Conference Centre, Bedlewo, Poland.
The conference is intended to give an account of the new results concerning algebraic methods in dynamical systems. Morales-Ramis theorem establishing the quasi-abelianity of the differential Galois group of the variational equation along a particular solution of a meromorphically completely integrable Hamiltonian system have led during the recent years to a big number of new results on non-integrability of Hamiltonian systems. More recently, the application of differential Galois theory to the study of Hamiltonian systems is no longer limited to Picard-Vessiot theory but is extended to the more general setting based on recent results of Malgrange and Umemura.

On the occasion of Doron Zeilberger's 60th birthday we honored his extraordinary research accomplishments and longstanding influence in mathematics. This international conference was co-hosted by the Mathematics Department and the DIMACS Center at Rutgers University on May 27–28, 2010. In keeping with the breadth of Zeilberger's work, there were speakers from a wide variety of fields that had been influenced and continue to be impacted by the power of his methods; to wit, Enumerative Combinatorics, Algebraic Combinatorics, and Algorithmic Proof Theory. It was attended by an exciting gathering of former and current students, collaborators, colleagues, and friends.
